Some paintings and sculpture...
These paintings appear in the
movie “Mona Lisa Smile”. These paintings are put with their painters and their
dates of appearance. I chose to write this article simply because I am
interested in art!
First,
the prehistory: with
painting called "Bison Blessé". It was found in the cave of Altamira in Spain. It dates from 17 000
before Jesus Christ in the Magdalenian period. It was created by the Cro-Magnon
men. But also, the “Horde de chevaux”.
It was discovered in a cave called Lascaux in 10 000 before Jesus Christ.
It was created by Neanderthal men.
It’s a statue called "Mykérinos et la reine
Chamerernebti". It dates
from 2470 before J.C. It is located in Museum Of Fine Arts in Boston.
Let’s go to the 20th century with
a work called "Carcass" in 1925 by Soutine and a work
called “number 1A”. It was painted
by Jackson Pollock in 1948.
And
finally, I say Mona Lisa. It was painted between 1503 and 1506 by
Leonardo Da Vinci. Today, it is in the Louvre Museum.
